The Cleveland Browns are the most-hyped team in the NFL heading into the 2019 regular season.
From feature articles in GQ magazine to the cover of the Sports Illustrated NFL preview issue, everyone wants a piece of the Browns.
Now, we can add SiriusXM NFL Radio to the bandwagon after the station announced that it will debut Dawg Pound Radio on September 4. The weekly hour-long program, which will air every Wednesday at 7 p.m. during the regular season, will be hosted by Browns radio announcer Jim Donovan and former quarterback Bernie Kosar.
According to an SiriusXM NFL Radio news release, the show will cover the present-day team and will look back at a franchise that has eight league championships and 16 members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The Browns are hot and SiriusXM wants to get on the bandwagon while there is still time, as Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s SVP of Sports Programming, said in the press release:
“To be sure, the Browns are one of the NFL’s most exciting and talked about teams heading into this season. They also have one of the richest histories in professional football and a dedicated fan base that has seen greatness and heartbreak through the years. This show will focus on both the Browns’ great past and its promising future, and will be something that anyone who loves football will enjoy. To have it hosted by Bernie Kosar, one of the franchise’s iconic players, and Jim Donovan, the voice of the Browns for two decades, is really special and means listeners are getting a true insider’s perspective week to week.”
Dawg Pound Radio will be carried on SiriusXm NFL Radio, Channel 88.
