On Monday, the Cleveland Browns filled in the rest of their practice squad with the additions of RB Elijah McGuire and OT Paul Adams.
The Browns begin their season with only three running backs on the 53-man roster, two of whom have had very little to no experience on gamedays in the NFL. Field Yates of ESPN says that Cleveland had actually tried claiming RB Devine Ozigbo off waivers yesterday, but the Jacksonville Jaguars (7) and Detroit Lions (8) had higher waiver priorities than the Browns (17). Ozigbo had a pre-draft visit with the Browns.
Another coveted player on waivers over the weekend: RB Devine Ozigbo. The Browns and Lions also tried to claim the new Jaguars RB, per source. He had a nice preseason with the Saints.

After missing out on him, Cleveland settles for getting McGuire to the practice squad. McGuire (5-10, 214 lbs) was a 6th round pick by the Jets in 2017. Over the past two seasons, he has 180 carries for 591 yards (3.3 YPC) and 4 touchdowns to go with 36 catches for 370 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Adams (6-6, 315 lbs) is an undrafted free agent who was signed by the New York Giants this year. Here is the entirety of the Browns’ practice squad to begin the season:
