We’ve talked about a few coaches who have departed the Cleveland Browns already, but one that we didn’t get to mention last week involved Al Holcomb. Holcomb was Steve Wilks’ defensive coordinator in Arizona in 2018, but when the staff was fired that year, Wilks brought Holcomb to Cleveland as the team’s linebackers coach/run game coordinator.
While Wilks is still a candidate to return as the Browns’ defensive coordinator in 2019, Holcomb has already departed to accept a lateral job with the Carolina Panthers:

This is a return to Carolina for Holcomb, as he was their linebackers coach from 2013-2017.
