Sunday, Jan. 19th (6:40 PM): Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers
The NFC Championship features the Packers traveling to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. The 49ers are full of coaching staff members who the Browns would like to hire in Cleveland, and understandably so: the way that team has become so physically dominant in talent and scheme on both sides of the ball is remarkable, and they remain my favorites to win the Super Bowl.
It still seems unusual that the Packers are in the postseason. As I said last week, they deserve credit, but they just don’t overwhelm teams. They may still get to the Super Bowl despite that, but I think the 49ers will stifle Green Bay’s offense and have enough creative running on offense to win a lackluster game for viewers. 49ers 24, Packers 13.
