Howard has been a defensive coach with the Vikings since 2013; most recently, he held the title of “Assistant Defensive Backs Coach / Defensive Assistant Coach.” It was announced a few days ago that he would not be returning to the Vikings in 2020. The overlap between Woods and Howard in Minnesota was only one season in 2013.
