Browns Backers Presidents run their chapters the way they seem fit, and on the agenda this week is beating those annoying Pittsburgh Steelers. These Presidents know football, and more importantly, know Cleveland Browns football.
Chapter Presidents have lots of duties: finding a viewing place, keeping the management of the viewing place happy that their chapter members show up and spend dough, keeping tabs on their chapter members, emailing members, keeping their chapter charter intact, and so on.
The Galway Browns Backers chapter in Galway City, Galway is located in the western edge of Ireland right where the Atlantic Ocean peels into the island to form a bay. This chapter was started in 2018 and currently has 34 members. Their logo is in the shape of the famous Galway Hooker sailing boats that have operated for centuries in Galway Bay.
Each week, DBN invites five Browns Backers chapter Presidents to provide their insight with the outcome of Cleveland’s next opponent.

Week 2 prediction: “This is the game upon which the season turns. For Cleveland, it’s in a positive direction. The Browns begin a stretch with the offense clicking. Stefanski’s plan gets executed thanks to solid running, a bulldozing offensive line also providing solid pass protection, and a confident quarterback pressing all the right buttons with distribution of the ball to one of the best casts of playmakers the NFL has seen in a few decades. The Steelers’ success in September mirage has ended, now facing a serious uptick talent-wise on their schedule. The Cleveland defensive line controls the trenches and the DB’s come into their own - playing to their potential. The Browns have plenty to prove and don’t mind thrashing Pittsburgh to do so. The Dallas victory gave them a boost in confidence, while also reminding how much work is still left to do. Browns 35, Pittsburgh 17”

Injuries are becoming a problem and will hinder the Browns but we’ll see how the others step up until our starters return. If they can weather the storm and guys come back healthy, we will be making the playoffs. Browns 34, Steelers 31.”

Week 2 prediction: “The Steelers are just adding more and more points every week. That really needs to end this week. The Browns have been putting up some serious points this year, too. But, keeping that lead is a real nail biter. I would love to hold a great lead and not worry about the what if’s or OMG WHAT’S GOING!!! moments we are use to. My prediction is a Browns’ win over the Steelers 34-30.”
