The Cleveland Football Browns are 3-1.
We are guaranteed to have a winning record for at least 3 weeks in a row. Think about that. And let it feel good.
En route to that 3-1 record the Browns are scoring a lot of points. The talent on the offense has obviously improved from a year ago, with additions like Jedrick Wills Jr, Jack Conklin, and Austin Hooper, and the health of players like Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.
But what stands out to me is that we are playing a better, smarter game on the offensive side. The talent margins are so thin in the NFL that we are best served if we use not only our players’ physical abilities, but their mental abilities as well.
It appears that new head coach Kevin Stefanski trusts Baker Mayfield and JC Tretter with a lot at the line of scrimmage, and that trust is paying dividends in plays like the one I broke down this week:
