The Cleveland Browns signed wide receiver Derrick Willies to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Willies, who is 6-foot-4 and 207 pounds, previously spent time with the Browns in 2018, when he joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech, and in 2019.

Willies gained some attention during training camp in 2019 after spending time working with the starters on offense, but he was released during the roster cutdown that year and spent the season on Cleveland’s practice squad.

He made the Browns in 2018 as a rookie but only played four offensive snaps through the first four weeks of the season. But in Week 5, his 39-yard catch-and-run helped set up the game-winning field goal in the Browns overtime win against the Baltimore Ravens.

Unfortunately for Willies, he broke his collarbone the following week in practice and landed on injured reserve.

Willies has not been on another team’s active roster. Overall in his career, Willies has played in five games, catching three passes for 61 yards.
