On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns announced that RT Jack Conklin, K Cody Parkey, and LS Charley Hughlett have been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. None of them have tested positive for COVID-19, however they were identified as close contacts to a “non-staff member” who did test positive, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. I wonder who this “non-staff member” would be?
#Browns T Jack Conklin, LS Charley Hughlett and K Cody Parkey were identified as high-risk close contacts to a non-staff member who tested positive, per source. If they test negative, there is hope they can play on Sunday.

If all three players continue to test negative, they would likely make the cutoff to be able to play in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, if they test positive, that obviously creates big holes at one or more starting positions. Backup offensive tackle Chris Hubbard is already has COVID-19, so Kendall Lamm would be the insurance policy at right tackle. Reserves would have to be called up from the practice squad at kicker and long snapper.
The Browns’ facility remains open, and the team will practice this afternoon as scheduled.
