Browns Backers Presidents know Cleveland Browns football. And they search for other loyal Browns’ fans to gather, greet, socialize, and cheer on their beloved team.
Since this week’s opponent is the New York Football Giants, we wanted a chapter located in the area so that’s where the Brooklyn chapter comes in. They have a tradition where the patrons won’t drink the paired shot and beer until the Browns score. Since Cleveland has reeled off scores such as 41, 37, 35, 34, 32 and 49 points, their viewing location Johnny Mack’s has been a very happy place since the shots have been consumed early and often.
The Portland, Maine chapter is imbedded deep into New England Patriots territory. Once, a bet was placed on the Browns-Patriots game by a rowdy Pats fan. After Cleveland won, that fan had to wear a dress to the bar the following week.
And did you notice Joe Thomas wearing a North Cotswolds (England) Browns Backers chapter t-shirt during a recent interview? Their chapter did.
Each week, DBN invites five Browns Backers chapter Presidents to provide their insight with the outcome of Cleveland’s next opponent.

Favorite current player: Denzel Ward
Viewing location: BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse
Best menu item: Hickory Brisket and Bacon burger
Weekly prediction: “A few weeks ago I would have labeled this game a “trap” game: poor opponent, easy win! However that has changed. In the last month (as of December 10) the N.Y. ‘Football’ Giants have won four in a row and five out of six. QB Daniel Jones is playing at a much higher level if he can play and the Giants defense is much improved. Brownies must be ready. Browns 27, Giants 20”

Brooklyn Browns Backers
President: Justin Kearney
Brooklyn, New York
Favorite former player: Bernie Kosar
Favorite current player: Myles Garrett
Viewing location: Johnny Mack’s Bar and Grill
Best menu item: Chicken Enchiladas with the beer and shot special
Weekly prediction: “The Browns have some history facing a few familiar faces such as Freddy Kitchens, Jabril Peppers, Colt McCoy and Kevin Zeitler. The Browns and Giants have been drafting in the top of the draft together for a few years now with Mayfield, Barkley, Thomas, and Wills. Both teams have promising rookie head coaches. This game has a lot of story lines to discuss. This game is a must win for Cleveland to secure a playoff spot and continue to ignite its fan base that has been on the edge of their seats all season. Go Brownies! Browns 24, Giants 17”

North Cotswolds Browns Backers
President: Howard Clegg
Stretton on Fosse, England
Favorite former player: Clay Matthews
Favorite current player: Nick Chubb
Viewing location: The Plough Inn
Best menu item: Wings
Weekly prediction: “Some are saying this is bogey game for the Browns but I see a win. It comes after a huge game for the Browns against the Ravens. Browns will be desperate to give a disciplined, hard fought game to the Giants to keep playoff chances, and dare we say it after the latest Steelers loss, the hopes of winning the AFC North alive. I don’t see the ill-disciplined Browns of yesteryear re-appearing with the stamp Stefanski has put on this team. Win or lose this team wants it more and beats the Giants. Browns 28, Giants 17”

East Coast Browns Hounds
President: Gene Parker
Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey
Favorite former player: Ozzie Newsome
Favorite current player: Nick Chubb
Viewing location: Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar
Best menu item: Chili with lots of fresh vegetables and cornbread
Weekly prediction: “The East Coast Browns Hounds predicts a Browns victory of this week after that heartfelt unexpected loss on last Monday Night. I think the Browns will be bouncing back and not taking things for granted. This is going to entail them to protect the ball. In most cases the team with the fewest turnovers is the victor. I think we cannot take these Giants for granted. They have won five out of their last six games and tout a good defense. One issue I do see with our Brownies is that once they get a lead, they tend to slack up in the latter moments of the fourth quarter which becomes hair raising for fans to say the least. I’d like to see them have the instinct to put teams away and finish games strong. I think the Browns are going to pull this out with a score of 33 to 20.”
