Browns extend tenders to RB Dontrell Hilliard, WR KhaDarel Hodge, TE Pharaoh Brown

Teams almost always retain their exclusive rights free agents, which all three players were.

On Monday, the Cleveland Browns announced they have tendered all three of their exclusive rights free agents: RB Dontrell Hilliard, WR KhaDarel Hodge, TE Pharaoh Brown.

Originally, Hilliard and Hodge were set to make $660,000 under the tender (2 accrued seasons), while Brown was set to make $585,000 (1 accrued season). It’s possible that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement that was agreed to on Sunday will bump those amounts up by $100,000 for each player, but I haven’t seen the final CBA yet to know for sure.

The Browns will retain partial control of each player heading into next year’s free agency, when they’ll be restricted free agents.
