With their first two picks the Dolphins picked offense with QB/WR so they switch the defensive side of the ball for this pick. Safety is not a position of desperate need, but McKinney is a playmaker and would be an upgrade for their defensive coach. While I was seriously tempted to take on the the left tackles still on the board, I am hoping either Jones or Cleveland falls to our 2nd round pick and I know that Mckinney will not make it to that point. Strangely this makes the Dolphins 3 for 3 with Crimson Tide players in the 2020 draft.
Pokorny: “I know there are a lot of Alabama players worthy of first-round picks, but that would be pretty damn cool from a facts and statistics standpoint to have three Alabama players in the first round all going to the same team.”
