With the 29th pick of the 2020 DBN Community NFL Mock Draft, the Tennessee Titans select...

Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU

The selection and write-up were made by wahoo7:

For a team that advanced to the AFC Championship last year, there are a surprising number of holes to fill for the Titans. Browns fans are happy that they let Jack Conklin walk, but there are questions in Nashville as to whether veteran Dennis Kelly can be an adequate replacement. Jurrell Casey is now with the Broncos, leaving a hole in the middle of the D-line. They lack an elite edge rusher, and signing Vic Beasley one a one-year deal only serves as a temporary solution. As of this moment, however, the Titans have not re-signed Logan Ryan (starter of 45 games during his 3 seasons in Tennessee), and that makes cornerback the team’s biggest need and they’re in a good drafting position to add a top-tier rookie.

Kristian Fulton, A.J. Terrell, and Trevon Diggs are all options with this pick. All 3 corners have similar measurables and experience playing press man coverage, but Terrell failed his biggest NFL audition during the National Championship game against LSU. Tough call, but Fulton gets the nod here. He lost a year of experience due to tampering with a drug test, but like Michael Irvin said, “You can’t play a game like football with all choir boys.” Fulton is smart, tough, and comfortable playing on an island. He will be a mainstay in the Tennessee secondary for years to come.

Pokorny: “The job that Mike Vrabel did last year made me believe that he can get the job done no matter what personnel he has on his team. Obviously, though, you still want to add good players, and Fulton is one of them, even if the loss of Jack Conklin at right tackle could be a bigger loss than they envision.”

The Green Bay Packers are up next, led by Suppa Bob.
