Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry continued building his front office on Thursday with the reported hiring of Charles Walls as the team’s national scout.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky:

Walls has spent the past seven years with the Green Bay Packers, starting as a scouting intern in 2013 and eventually taking over as the scout for the Southwest region in 2017.

According to packersnews.com, some of the players that the Packers have added under Walls’ scouting include running back Aaron Jones from Texas El-Paso, tight end Jace Sternberger and defensive lineman Kingsley Keke from Texas A&M, linebacker Ty Summers from TCU, guard Elgton Jenkins from Mississippi State, linebackers Curtis Bolton from Oklahoma and linebacker Randy Ramsey from Arkansas.

Walls also has some coaching experience, according to his bio at packers.com, as he was a defensive graduate assistant coach in 2012 at Old Dominion University, his alma mater, the assistant running backs coach in 2011 season and the assistant offensive line and tight ends coach in 2010 as a student assistant.

You can learn a bit more about Walls from this Q&A he did with Old Dominion in 2019.
