TE preview: Browns fans still split on if Njoku will be traded, intrigued by undrafted rookie

Plus, how many catches will Austin Hooper have in 2020?

Cincinnati Bengals v Cleveland Browns

This past week, we finished covering the tight end position in our training camp previews. At the end of each preview, we include a poll to gauge fan feedback heading into the season.

In Part 1, we started off by asking how many catches fans think Austin Hooper will have: 70 or more catches, or less than 70 catches. 56% of fans think Hooper will have fewer than 70 catches. Hooper has had 71 and 75 catches, respectively, over the past two seasons. In Minnesota, Kyle Rudolph only had 39 catches a year ago. Backup Irv Smith Jr. had 36 catches. Based on those numbers, I’d lean toward Hooper falling south of 70 catches too.

The other question in Part 1 asked if fans think David Njoku will be traded or not. Only 44% of fans think he’ll be traded — so it’s a mixed feeling right now.

Stephen Carlson led the way with 56% of the vote, but undrafted free agent Nate Wieting received a respectable 38% of the vote.
