91% of fans confident in direction of Browns heading into Week 1

As always, Cleveland’s expectations are high to begin the season.

The first week of SB Nation Reacts voting is in, heading into Week 1 of the NFL season. If you haven’t signed up to vote each week, you can do so here.

At the end of the 2019 season, just 22% of fans were confident in the direction of the team. Everything changed with the firing of Freddie Kitchen and hiring of Kevin Stefanski; it brought new-found optimism in free agency, with 91% of fans being confident in the direction of the team. That’s the same percentage we stand at heading into Week 1. Most teams start high to begin the year, so we’ll see where Cleveland goes from here.

There were three national polls this week. The first one asked about the game fans are most excited to see, and I voted for the Buccaneers vs. Saints (the leading vote-getter). How can you not be intrigued by Tom Brady’s first game in another uniform? The second poll dealt with fantasy football; I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Lamar Jackson this week for obvious reasons.

The final poll pertains to the NFL kickoff game, which we will have an open thread for tonight. 51% of fans think the Chiefs will cover the 9-point spread, and I’m in that same crowd.
