Ivie, who is 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, has bounced around since being selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He was cut by the Cowboys at the end of training camp that season, and has spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks.
Ivie did not see any actual playing time until last season, when he appeared in five games for the Kansas City Chiefs and three games with the Tennessee Titans. He was waived by the Titans last week during final roster cutdowns.
Smart played the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, who selected Smart in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In 31 career games with the Rams, including four starts, Smart had 21 tackles.
The 6-foot-1 and 295-pound Smart spent training camp this summer with the Buffalo Bills, but was waived during the final roster cutdown.
