Sunday, Jan. 24th (6:40 PM): Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs

I have to admit — a week later, it is starting to sting a bit more, as I think about the AFC Championship game today between the Bills and the Chiefs. I went into that Chiefs game with realistic expectations about the Browns’ chances, but looking back, I mean, heck, with Chad Henne in the game, Cleveland was like ‘this close’ to legitimately being one game away from a trip to the Super Bowl. Holy cow. No matter how good the team may be next year, anything can happen in the playoffs, and you never know how close you’ll get to a chance like that.

Putting that aside, we should be in for a heck of a show between the Bills and the Chiefs. I don’t think there’s any doubt that Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are two outstanding quarterbacks — we knew it about Mahomes already, but Allen took his game to another level this season. Both of them deserve to battle it out on this stage. Mahomes does have the turf toe injury that could limit him a little, but his arm his so dynamic that I think he’ll do fine through the pain. I’ll take the Chiefs in a nail-biter. Chiefs 34, Bills 28.
