The Cleveland Browns are in the postseason! We’ll have to wait things out until tomorrow night, but we can take in today’s games to see if the first game clues us in to who our next-round opponent might be. Our preview for the Browns game can be found here.
Saturday, Jan. 9th (1:05 PM): Indianapolis Colts vs. Buffalo Bills
The Colts are the No. 7 seed in the AFC, and that’s probably where they belong in terms of the teams that made it. Indianapolis has a well-rounded team, but have had some really disappointing halves of football this season. Josh Allen has been an MVP-like player for Buffalo, and even with the small crowd, I think they come out hitting on all cylinders for a comfortable win. Bills 34, Colts 17.
Saturday, Jan. 9th (4:40 PM): Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks
Will Jared Goff be available to play? It’s a decision that looms large, but we saw how much that Rams defense came through last week. Seattle seems like the obvious pick here, but that offense has really sputtered over the past two months. This will be a fascinating game to dissect. Seahawks 23, Rams 17.
Saturday, Jan. 9th (8:15 PM): Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Football Team
This is another intriguing playoff match-up, because Football Team’s defense is one that I saw early in the season and thought, “That’s the team that’s going to win the division.” That defense can also do some damage in the playoffs, but damn, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have found their groove on offense over the last few weeks, to the point where I have to bank on that tonight. Buccaneers 31, Football Team 17.
Browns fans should use this as an open thread to discuss the game!
