It looks like Money Mitchell’s time in Cleveland has come to an end. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Houston Texans are signing CB Terrance Mitchell to a 2-year deal worth up to $7.5 million deal.
#Browns FA CB Terrance Mitchell is expected to sign with the #Texans, source said. A tough, physical corner lands in Houston with a 2-year deal worth up to $7.5M.

In our free agency previews, I said that I thought Cleveland should try to re-sign Mitchell on a 2-year, $8 million deal. 97% of fans had said they wanted to bring him back for that type of deal. Andrew Berry has other plans at the cornerback position, though. One option is that they could be really taking a chance that CB Greedy Williams will be able to play (and start) again in 2021. Or, Berry could still have a trick up his sleeve on a free agent cornerback.
Mitchell was durable in 2020, playing more snaps than any cornerback in the NFL. He spent three seasons with the team.
