Severe needs for the Giants is offensive line and playmakers. Sewell and my pick Slater are already off the board, so the biggest playmaker listed is the Heisman winner. Smith already appears ready for the pro level and is an exciting player to watch. He has a good route tree, can break off patterns and find open spots, possesses great speed and is a quality player off the field.

Some will say he is too light at 175 pounds, but until somebody can cover him I am going to count this out as a negative. Great yards-after-catch with pure production. Very polished and ready for the NFL level with outstanding route running. Biggest asset is he will adjust to poorly thrown balls. Only negative is his downfield blocking needs work, but he will solve that quickly.

Pokorny: “The Giants need another offensive weapon to see if Daniel Jones is the answer at quarterback, so I think it’s an obvious move for them to grab Smith off the board here.”
