While the Raiders have needs on the defensive side of the ball, they also traded away 3 offensive line starters in free agency. With the top CB prospects off the board and the signing of Ngakoue helping the DE situation somewhat, the Raiders draft Jenkins with an eye toward keeping Derek Carr protected and helping Josh Jacobs return to form. He should be able to start right away at RT and while his pass blocking might need little work, Jenkins should make an impact as a run blocker right away.

Pokorny: “The Raiders are expected to address the offensive line with one of their first three picks, but will they go with their starting right tackle in the first round or wait? Jenkins wouldn’t have to make a transition at the NFL level and would immediately be able to improve Las Vegas’ rushing attack.”
