Samuel is a versatile prospect who can play both outside as well as in the slot, and I would expect him to immediately compete for starting time as the slot CB.

He displays suitable coverage skills with great agility and speed, as well as loose hips and good footwork that allows him change direction as routes develop. He does have the tendency to grab at the receiver, which could lead to holding and interference calls in the NFL. He is also slow at getting his head around and locating the ball when it’s in the air. He is also a bit undersized and may struggle against bigger receivers. Despite these weaknesses, he is a strong player with an excellent family pedigree who improved each year in college. He is tough and physical and not afraid to make tackles against the run and receivers after the catch.

Pokorny: “With the departures of Adoree’ Jackson, Desmond King, and Malcolm Butler, a cornerback fills a need for the Titans, even if it might be a tad early for Samuel.”
