The Cleveland Browns signed S Richard LeCounte III on Thursday. He is among the first three players of the team’s eight-person draft class to be signed.
Taken in the 5th round at No. 169 overall, LeCounte’s contract will be worth about $3.777 million, with a $296,584 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap’s pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2021 will be roughly $734,146, which puts him behind other safeties like John Johnson, Ronnie Harrison, Grant Delpit, and Sheldrick Redwine.
LeCounte was the team’s seventh player selected in the draft and their only safety picked. He is 5-10, 195-pounds and played college football at Georgia. LeCounte will wear No. 39 with the Browns.
