Selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft at No. 132 overall, Togiai’s contract will be worth about $4.157 million, with a signing bonus of $677,148, over four years, according to Over The Cap’s predetermined draft chart. Togiai’s cap hit in 2021 will be approximately $829,287.
The 6-foot-1 and 296-pound Togiai was a one-year starter for the Buckeyes and earned second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors in 2020 from both the conference’s coaches and the media.
Togiai will have an opportunity to earn a spot in Cleveland’s revamped defensive tackle rotation with Malik Jackson, Andrew Billings, Jordan Elliott and Sheldon Day.
Togiai will wear No. 93 with the Browns.
The Browns previously signed running back Demetric Felton (sixth-round selection), safety Richard LeCounte III (fifth-round selection), linebacker Tony Fields II (fifth-round selection) and offensive tackle James Hudson III (fourth-round selection).
