The 6-foot-8 and 271-pound Davis was with the New York Jets for a brief period in training camp in 2020 before being released. The Jets eventually signed him to the practice squad in Week 11 and he stayed there for the remainder of the season.
Davis played in 41 games with Stony Brook from 2013 through 2016, and saw action at tight end, offensive tackle and defensive end. All told, he had six receptions for 41 yards, 10 tackles, and a sack during his college career.
He spent time in rookie camp with the New York Giants in 2018, and has also played for the St. Louis BattleHawks in the XFL and the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football.
