Selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft at No. 91 overall out of Auburn, Schwartz’s contract will be worth about $4.8 million, with a signing bonus of $896,744, over four years, according to Over The Cap’s predetermined draft chart. Schwartz’s cap hit in 2021 will be approximately $884,186.
Schwartz brings a level of speed to Cleveland’s wide receivers that opposing defenses will have to respect, although he is still a bit raw at the position. Given the depth that the Browns have at wide receiver with Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones, Schwartz has time to work on his route running and receiving skills this season.
At Auburn, Schwartz had 117 career receptions for 1,433 yards and six touchdowns in 36 games, finishing his collegiate career ranked No. 10 in career receptions and No. 17 in career receiving yards on the school’s all-time list.
Schwartz will wear No. 10 with the Browns.
