The Browns like having a lot of former general managers around the building. With former Colts GM Ryan Grigson already serving as a senior advisor for the team, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported today that former Lions GM Bob Quinn has been hired as a senior consultant to the football operations department:
The #Browns have hired former #Lions GM Bob Quinn as a Senior Consultant to their Football Ops department, source said. A new voice and sounding board for GM Andrew Berry, Quinn will help in a multitude of areas.

Quinn had been with the New England Patriots as an assistant or scout from 2000-2015, before becoming the Lions’ GM in 2016. He was fired last November along with head coach Matt Patricia. Funny enough, the Lions added former Browns GM John Dorsey as a senior assistant this offseason. Speaking on the hire, current Browns GM Andrew Berry said the following about Quinn:
#Browns Andrew Berry said Bob Quinn is someone he’s respected for a long time and having a former General Manager’s perspective is something that he really thinks bring value to him and the org.
