On Monday, the Cleveland Browns reduced their roster from 85 to 80 players. Every team in the league is required to get down to 80 players by Tuesday at 4:00 PM ET.
We have placed K Cody Parkey on IR and reduced our roster down to 80.

Placed on reserve/injured:
- Tight end Connor Davis (shoulder)
- Linebacker Montrel Meander (Achilles)
- Kicker Cody Parkey (quad)
Waived:
- Wide receiver Alexander Hollins
- *Offensive tackle Alex Taylor (ankle)
*injury designation
The biggest hit is losing Parkey, who while having the occasional issue, still connected on 19-of-22 field goals in 15 regular-season games and didn’t miss on three postseason field goal attempts in 2020. He was also perfect on eight extra points in the postseason after making 43-of-47 in the regular season.
It was also a tough break for Meander, who just signed with the team on Friday after the Browns lost linebackers Jacob Phillips to a torn bicep tendon and Sione Takitaki to a hamstring injury.
The Browns’ next roster cuts are due August 31, when every team must be down to the final 53-man roster just two days after the final preseason game.
