The Cleveland Browns signed free agent running back Corey Taylor II on Friday morning.
The news was announced by Taylor’s agents on social media:
The 5-foot-10 and 215-pound Taylor went undrafted this past spring after rushing for 2,034 yards, 26 touchdowns and averaging 4.6 yards per carry at Tulsa. His best season came in 2018, when as a redshirt sophomore he rushed for 846 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Browns currently have an opening at running back after Tre Harbison, an undrafted free agent from Charlotte, suffered a concussion earlier this week in practice.
The position group is still a full one, however, with Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton, so there will likely be limited opportunities for Taylor to show the coaching staff what he can do.
