Browns Backers Presidents think they know everything - everything Cleveland Browns that is. So they offer here what they believe will happen against the Minnesota Vikings in this week’s game.
The Midlands Dawg Pound located in Columbia, South Carolina was founded in January 2019 and was selected to be the Spotlight Club for the Presidents’ Newsletter of the Browns Backers in January 2021. So they know their stuff and have published proof of it.
And the Jersey Shore chapter sits in a triangle between the Jets, the Giants, plus the Eagles. So any fan that shows up in Orange is a sight for sore eyes!
Each week, DBN invites five Browns Backers chapter Presidents to provide their insight with the outcome of Cleveland’s next opponent. If you are looking to hang with some other Browns’ faithful or are traveling and want to see where the locals watch the Browns, then click the link below and get to searching:

President: Annette Merritt Cummings
Columbia, South Carolina
Favorite former player: Leroy Kelly
Favorite current player: Nick Chubb
Viewing location: McNulty’s Taproom
Best menu item: All American Cheeseburger
Weekly prediction: “This game is not only about the Browns vs. the Vikings, but also about Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski playing against his former team. He will go deeper into his playbook to ensure a victory, because he has added reason for a victory and doesn’t want a loss to the Vikings on his legacy. The Browns should have OBJ back to fill in for Jarvis if he cannot play. OBJ will provide an additional dimension to their offense and a more potent threat for scoring.
The Browns will better understand by Week 4 that they have to rely more on their running game. The best backfield duo combined with the best offensive line in the NFL will become more paramount along with additional plays for rookie Demetric Felton. This will help by providing better ball control, managing the clock, and resting their defense, so they will be more effective when on the field. Browns 34, Vikings 24”

Weekly prediction: “The Vikings at the time of writing this have the 6th best offense averaging 411 yards of offense and scoring an average of 28.5 points per game. The Browns have the 8th best offense averaging 406 yards of offense and scoring and average of 30 points per game. The Vikings have a defense that is 28th in the league allowing 420 yards and giving up 30.5 points a game. The Browns have the 14th ranked defense giving up 349.5 yards and 27 points a game. These two teams match up pretty evenly, but I think it all comes down to play makers and the Browns I feel have more on both sides of the football. Browns 35, Vikings 31”

Weekly prediction: “Alright, so Sheldon Richardson — this will be interesting. We cut him last year, then tried to re-sign him, then he went to the Vikings for less money after the shenanigans we pulled. So with that being said, with our receivers (Landry being hurt and Odell…. Uh being Odell) we are going to rely more on the run game and Richardson is a real run-stuffer. He might give a fine hello to Chubb up the middle, so speed will be pretty important in this one.
Our secondary will be tested because they have two great receivers (Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson) and a premier running back (Delvan Cook) but the Vikings O-Line is subpar. So this will give our D-Line a chance to look ahhhhhhmazing.
To sum it all up, we should be able to control the clock and limit their possessions because of our ground game. With Baker behind the wheel, this will be a win - no doubt. Browns 28, Vikings 17”

Weekly prediction: “The Browns running game is too much for the Vikings to handle plus Baker Mayfield’s throws to the tight ends with short possession. The Browns’ defense continues to gel even with the injuries to the linebackers. Browns 27, Vikings 16”

Weekly prediction: “Defense finally gels going into Minnesota. After 3 games together the Browns pass rush starts to break through Minnesota’s O-Line creating havoc for the Vikings QB. Hopefully we have a healthy Anthony Walker and linebacker core that will stop any quick passes to their running backs and TE group. Stefanski knows this team well and will have a playbook especially for his former team. Look for our running game to have a big day! Browns 31, Vikings: 16”
