  • DL: This week, Myles Garrett was back to domination mode, registering 2 sacks and scored the highest defensive grade from PFF (90.2). Garrett was robbed of a safety on the game's first play, but it still helped set the tone and the field position for Cleveland’s only touchdown. Ogbo Okoronkwo also had several big plays, including 4 tackles for losses. You also love seeing the rest of the line still having their moments, like when Shelby Harris broke up two pass plays on the same drive.
  • LB: Anthony Walker left the game early with a hamstring injury and could miss some games. That allowed Sione Takitaki to have a big role this week, and he had a couple more impactful plays. The team kept the linebacker rotation tight with mostly Takitaki and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in Walker’s absence.
  • CB: The Browns' top three cornerbacks, Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, and Martin Emerson, all ranked in the Top 5 defensive grades by PFF for Cleveland this week. Emerson was the highest (77.0) with Ward (76.8) right behind him. Newsome missed the open field tackle on the Steelers' big touchdown run, but he also forced Jaylen Warren to make a move, which you hoped would have allowed someone else on defense to make a play on him.
  • S: Cleveland will have to figure out their safety situation opposite Grant Delpit. Juan Thornhill is banged up with a calf injury, and now Rodney McLeod is out for the season. Rookie Ronnie Hickman saw reps in McLeod’s place this week, but that injury happened later in the game.
