At this point, we are sad to have to continue to share the bad news with Cleveland Browns fans. The team has overachieved this season based on all the injuries that they have had to deal with and that continued to start Week 15.
Those three joined Deshaun Watson, Nick Chubb, Jack Conklin, Jakeem Grant and Rodney McLeod as key contributors who have been lost for the year.
The hits just kept on coming on Wednesday as Cleveland announced that safety Grant Delpit would be placed on injured reserve, ending his regular season but he could return for the playoffs, possibly.
That isn’t all. DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo could also be done for the year:
Delpit isn't the only big loss for the #Browns defense. Per source, DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has a pectoral injury that could end his season. Obo is second on the Browns with 4.5 sacks.— Jake Trotter (@Jake_Trotter) December 13, 2023
At this point, the Browns are being held together by their schemes on both sides of the ball and a few top-end talents that are still healthy, relatively speaking.
We will keep you updated on injuries as Okoronkwo’s becomes official and this week’s first injury report becomes available.
