Nick Chubb is amazing: Despite missing almost all of 2023, Browns RB still dominates explosive stat since 2018

Chubb will return sometime in 2024 but this tells you what the Browns are missing in 2023

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns are 10-5 despite injury after injury throughout the season. While the latest injuries have hit special teams, the start of the 2023 season was especially heartbreaking with OL Jack Conklin and RB Nick Chubb going down during the first two weeks of the season.

We told you in the offseason that Chubb was the most underrated player in the NFL. The Browns back has been the most explosive player in the league since entering it and was expected to have even more opportunities in the passing game in 2023.

Since his injury, Chubb underwent successful surgery in late September then another in the middle of November.

Despite missing almost all of this season, Cleveland’s star running back is far and away still the most explosive back in the NFL since 2018:

With the Browns pushing toward the NFL playoffs, Chubb is the player that fans wish was around the most. A healthy Chubb would unlock a rushing attack that has struggled most of the year. Losing the top three offensive tackles is a problem but the former Georgia stud has always been good at making much out of nothing.

How surprised are you about the above stat given Chubb’s absence this year?
