Browns, Jets inactive reports: Amari Cooper, Allen Lazard, Greg Zuerlein news

Browns playoff clinching hopes could depend on Amari Cooper being active in Week 17

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns get a standalone game streaming on Amazon Prime (and locally on WEWS) at home to clinch a spot in the 2023 NFL playoffs. The Browns will also clinch the top wild card spot and remain in contention for the AFC North title and #1 seed with a win.

The New York Jets come to town just waiting for the end to come to a season whose hopes were dashed in Week 1 when Aaron Rodgers got hurt.

WR Amari Cooper was the biggest name questionable but both teams had questions at kicker on the final injury report with Cleveland elevating both a punter and kicker for tonight’s game.

With 90 minutes until kickoff, we got official news on Cooper’s status as the inactive reports came out for both teams:

Browns Inactives

  • WR Amari Cooper
  • LB Anthony Walker Jr.
  • DE Ogbo Okoronkwo
  • K Dustin Hopkins
  • P Corey Bojorquez
  • DE Sam Kamara
  • OL Luke Wypler

Cleveland was expecting Cooper to play before warmups but things changed and he will be inactive.

Jets Inactives

  • WR Allen Lazard
  • QB Aaron Rodgers
  • TE Jeremy Ruckert
  • QB Zach Wilson
  • OL Austin Deculus
  • DL Carl Lawson
  • CB Bryce Hall

How big of an impact do you think Cooper being out will be for the Browns tonight?
