For only the third time this century, the Cleveland Browns are headed to the NFL playoffs. With a Week 17 victory over the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football, the Browns ran their 2023 record to 11-5 despite injuries continuing to impact the team.

Against the Jets, WR Amari Cooper was unavailable due to a heel injury and WR Elijah Moore left the game with a head injury.

Not only did Cleveland clinch a playoff spot but, with 11 victories, the Browns have locked up at least the fifth seed as the top Wild Card team in the NFL. Among Wild Card contenders, only the Buffalo Bills can match Cleveland’s current win total but the Bills would lose out on tiebreakers.

The AFC playoff picture is far from clear, however, with divisions and seeding up in the air.

The Browns are still in the running for the AFC North title and top overall seed but would need things to break their way starting this weekend. If the Miami Dolphins knock off the Baltimore Ravens, Week 18’s results will decide both the division and conference leaders.

Instead of playoff rooting guides, Cleveland fans will start to focus on playoff matchups with the rest of the Week 17 games and the final week of the season.

How are you feeling with the Browns headed to the post-season in 2023?
