According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Cleveland Browns are 3.5 point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Here is what the national media is saying about the Week 14 game between the Browns and Jaguars:
CBS Sports (Pete Prisco) - Browns 20, Jaguars 14
The Jaguars will likely start C.J. Beathard for the injured Trevor Lawrence, while Joe Flacco could start again for the Browns. The Cleveland defense is the better of the two, which will really challenge the Jacksonville offense. This will be a low-scoring game, but Cleveland will win it late.
CBS Sports (John Breech) - Browns 20, Jaguars 13
Although I think the Browns defense is going to dominate, that doesn’t automatically mean I can pick Cleveland to win and that’s mostly because of their QB situation. The Browns are either going to be starting a banged-up rookie (Dorian Thompson-Robinson) or a guy who spent the first 11 weeks of the season at home on his couch (Joe Flacco).
Sporting News (Vinnie Iyer) - Browns 16, Jaguars 13
The Jaguars will be without Trevor Lawrence follwing a devastating home loss to the Bengals on Monday night. C.J. Beathard going on the road against a defense that plays much better at home isn’t the most appealing situation. Joe Flacco plays well enough on the other side as a backup for the Browns to steal a low-scoring battling of attrition.
Sporting News (Bill Bender) - Browns 28, Jaguars 26
The Browns have played three quarterbacks over the last three weeks, and it’s starting to show. Those quarterbacks have a combined completion percentage of 51.9% the last three weeks. There is always the Jacksonville-in-cold-weather factor, and if Trevor Lawrence (ankle) misses this game we will go with the Browns at home.
