For the fifth year I’ve created a list that tried to consolidate the ratings of seven different on line sites (free) to see who is expected to be the first 65 players drafted. In the past the exercise has shown that the consolidated list has correctly predicted 45 to 50 picks of the first 65. Generally there are not more than two players in the first round who are not on the consolidated list.
I’m not sure what has happened this year. Fifth year covid players? NIH allowances? A phase of the moon? I have almost no confidence in the list this year. The opinions swing wildly on so many players that it almost appears that a list that truly showed a confluence of opinion would have 25 to 30 players. There does seem to be a strong opinion that there deep well of players that could be selected in the first 2 rounds. If true the third and fourth round could be more promising than in normal years.
As in the past the players are not listed in any ranked order. Here is this year’s list as seven pundits seemed to see it:

As for my hopes during the draft I’m hoping that they draft to add talent for DL, S, LB, OL & RB. I’m not in favor of using any of our picks on WRs. In any case the drafted players will need to be special team contributors with the potential to develop into position players. I don’t expect us to select eight players and if we do I suspect several will not make the final roster.
