The Cleveland Browns are just trying to get through the week without any more new injuries. Having already placed one starter on injured reserve this week and ruled out seven others, the Browns can ill afford to have more issues with injuries.

Week 18’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals is just about surviving unscathed.

For three of Cleveland’s potential playoff opponents, Week 18 is far more important. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the most likely AFC South team to host the Browns in the Wild Card round. WR Christian Kirk is among three important players the Jaguars have listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Kirk was attempting to return from injured reserve following core muscle surgery.

Saturday, Jacksonville activated their talented receiver:

WR and returner Jamal Agnew was placed on IR to open the spot for Kirk.

Kirk did not play in the first matchup between the Browns and Jaguars due to his injury that occurred early in December. For the season, Jacksonville's number two receiver has 57 catches for 787 yards and three touchdowns.

Last year was Kirk’s best season with 84 receptions for over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.

Cleveland will not know their Wild Card opponent until Jacksonville’s game finishes on Sunday but the Jaguars getting Kirk back helps their probability of being the opponent.
