The Browns (0-1) are coming off of disappointing 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The defense showed the same type of aggressiveness that they did a year ago, and played a decent game. The special teams unit was a mixed bag, but leaning toward negative any time you allow a special teams touchdown. The offense was putrid, including the play of the offensive tackles, QB Deshaun Watson looking lost again, receivers dropping passes, and the offensive playcalling to accommodate the pass rush.

The Jaguars (0-1) are coming off of a 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. It’s a game that Miami may have been favored to win, but Jacksonville fans have to be frustrated with the fact that they lost after jumping out to a 14-0 lead. Everything looked golden for the Jaguars until they allowed an 80-yard touchdown pass at the end of the third quarter to WR Tyreek Hill, which changed the momentum. Adding salt to the wound, on the play before that, RB Travis Etienne was on his way to the end zone before fumbling out of the end zone for a touchback. What would have been a 24-7 lead, turned into a 17-14 game, within one play — and then the Dolphins got two fourth quarter field goals to win it.

These two teams met last year in the second half of the season in Cleveland, with the Browns winning 31-27. It was a back-and-forth game, with the Browns having the lead all the way. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes, but also had three interceptions. It’s also worth remembering that Joe Flacco was the Browns’ quarterback.

The over/under for the game is 41.5.
